Tialupita Hot Sauce

I love spicy, but I also love flavor. Tialupita hot sauce brand gives a major kick in spice, but has a smokey taste to each flavor. There is not only heart in the sauce, but heart in the story. Hector Saldivar grew up in Northern Mexico. Hector’s mother – known affectionately as Tia Lupita (“Aunt Lupita” in Spanish) to family and friends –  was proud to have perfected the family hot sauce recipe, the original of which had been carefully handed down to the women in the family over generations. Perfected indeed – Tia’s hot sauce was in high demand from the people who were lucky enough to have tried it. They asked her to sell it, and she demurred, enjoying instead to make it for family and friends. When Hector moved to San Francisco, California, Tia would ship him bottles of her hot sauce, to make certain he always had a piece of home with him. Soon, those packages became anxiously-awaited deliveries as friends discovered Tia for themselves. Hector went back to Mexico and asked for his mother’s blessing for his idea to bottle the sauce for all to enjoy.  The sauce is named Tia Lupita in her honor to honor his mom and the legacy of the family recipe. Tia’s likness on the label pays homage to her most-loved trademark: wearing a curler on her head while she cooks to keep her bangs out of her eyes! I am a sucker for family stories, and if the sauce is good, then you have my heart.

The Buttermilk Co.

This plant based and super fresh Indian food brand has the unique concept of individual dish ingredients that ultimately create a delicious and full Authentic Indian meal in minutes. Thank goodness for FounderMade’s Consumer Discovery Show for bringing this to the masses attention, because this is revolutionary. The Buttermilk Company makes fresh food from scratch, preservative free. Then it is shipped out in insulated boxes, and once received all you need to do is add water and serve. Buttermilk Company started while its’ founder was living away from home for the first time, and was fed up with the food options she had. All she wanted was a bowl of her mom’s rasam (a traditional South Indian dish)! On her next visit home, she told her mom she was missing her home-cooked food. So, her mom showed her that once she had all the ingredients, all she had to do was add hot water to complete the dish. That was the moment she realized that anyone could have their favorite childhood meals without spending too much money or time. The Buttermilk Company launched in a small kitchen in Seattle in October 2017.

One Culture Foods

One culture foods don’t carry your average “cup-o-noodles”. They’ve instilled asian inspired flavors from China, Tawain, Japan, and Vietnam into their soup varieties that are full of healthy and hearty and all made with nutrients rich bone broth powder. They are packaged in convenient, individual cups, perfect for on-the-go. This product was by far and away our favorite food trend and consumer good from FounderMade’s Consumer Discovery Show Los Angeles. We can not stop raving about One Culture Foods, that even after testing it once, we had to have more. Literally, these tasty noodle cups come in four flavors; Chinese chicken noodle, Japanese Spicy Ramen, Vietnamese Beef Pho, and  Taiwanese Beef Noodle. You can get these all separately, or choose a variety pack, which  includes all four delicious heritage flavors. One Culture Foods are made with bone broth and  noodles to provide the satisfaction of instant ramen. Their noodles are fresh cooked (never fried), the crafted seasonings are natural, and the soup is made from a real liquid bone broth reduction (not the fake powdered stuff) for a steaming cup of delicious noodles that is closer to what you get from your favorite noodle shop than what you used to eat in your dorm room.
