The 2015 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah-
This is the second year we have covered the Sundance Film Festival, and we are here for the films, but mostly for the Food. Before we checked out the 7 day line up of independent films, Food Flaunt swagged out on the Food and Cocktails of Sundance 2015. This year we decided to review the films, events, suites, and nightlife of Sundance, and the new food, chefs, and beverages we will flaunt for.
Swag: TR Suites
Talent Resources is returning to Park City, Utah for their seventh consecutive year this January 23rd through January 25th with a larger and more premium “TR Suites” than ever! Located on Main Street, the TR Suites will be directly across from the Egyptian Theatre, the epicenter of all the festivities. Moose Knuckles Canada and Superdry will be on hand helping men and women by supplying some of the coziest snow gear and apparel. Guests’ will enjoy backpacks, underwear, knits, ski suits, goggles, ski pants, and leggings to keep them cozy and warm while hopping from the slopes to parties. Meanwhile, America’s most beloved “go to” wine brand, Yellow Tail will be providing all guests with three of their premiere wines; Pinot Grigio, Sangria and their big bold Red. Mellow Mushroom Pizza will host a one-of-a-kind onsite café where attendees can enjoy their specialty crafted pizzas and soup – the perfect antidote for the cold weather. Events: Chef Dance
ChefDance, presented by Victory Ranch, prepares to round up the country’s finest chefs with the festival’s hottest actors in a 5 night series of lavish dinners, film and entertainment! Chefdance will house a media lounge in the day and a dinner destination in the evening.

Atmosphere ChefDance
The ChefDance Media Lounge hosted top tier-casts at the Tim Hortons Café & Bake Shop and the Indiegogo Lounge, where live-streaming interviews were conducted with Sundance films including: “A Walk In The Woods” starring Robert Redford, “Z For Zachariah” starring Chris Pine, Margot Robbie and Chiwetel Ejio for, and “Sleeping With Other People” starring Jason Sudeikis and Alison Brie to name a few.

During the ChefDance Dinner Series – presented by Victory Ranch – Chef Parind Vora of Jezebel in Austin, TX cooked up dishes like Cinderella pumpkin & sage consommé and Prosciutto wrapped Chilean sea bass and – prepared with protein from Premier Meat Company – for the cast and director of films “D Train” starring James Marsden, Jack Black, Jeffrey Tambor with directors Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul, and “It Follows” starring Maika Monroe, Keir Gilchrist, Daniel Zovatto and Olivia Luccardi. While Chef Shawn Armstrong, famed chef from the Montage at Deer Valley, UT, crafted specialty dishes for his guests including for celebs including Peter Sarsgaard, Kellan Lutz, Winona Ryder, John Leguizamo, and Bryan Callen.
Chef Dustin Trani impressed the ChefDance crowds with preparing dishes such as Grilled Spanish Octopus, Lobster Risotto, and Braised Domestic Lamb Shank. Chef Paolo Dorigato dropped Umami bombs on Sundancers with dishes such as his first course made of Roasted Octopus with Celeriac, mortadella, Mache, and a Marsala reduction. Followed by brasato al Barolo dish accompanied by winter vegetables & gnocchi alla Romana, see what star chef Steven Frentz prepared in our Chef’s Corner.

Absolute Elyx presents Tao Nightclub at Sundance 2015 at The Village at the Lift in Park City. Tao lasts for 3 fun filled days where the majority of Sundance nightlife memories are made.Chris Pine, Kellan Lutz, Zoe Kravitz, Zachary Quinto, Danny Masterson, Adrian Grenier, and Johnny Knoxville are just a few of the celebrities that attended this year. Here below we tried the cocktail menu of Tao, Sundance and fell into a deeper obsession with the DJ driven festival activation than years past.
