If you are not attending the actual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, you are considered to be the faux-chella or no-chella party goer. If that is the case, what party does one No- Coachella-er go to? Is it at the Saguaro hotel, perhaps the Parker, Meridian? Ah but one could be so privileged to go to a membership club party at one of the most coveted estates in the Coachella Valley. Soho House kicked off the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with an invite-only, weekend long celebration, created as part of Soho House’s continuous support of the music industry. For the third year, at this private estate in La Quinta Soho Desert House, a sprawling villa designed to provide festival talent and those within the fashion and music industries who support them with an oasis from the busy festival scene.
As the doors officially opened for the weekend, guests arrived and were greeted with a fleet of BMW i3 cars to shuttle them to the estate entrance. DJ duo Christian Rich took over the DJ tables for the weekend’s first set. Guests explored the grounds, and sipped on GREY GOOSE cocktails, such as the Le Grand Fizz, Le Melon Mule, La Brigitte, the Bacardi Cuba’s Menthe and the Corzo Desert Chauffeur cocktail. The party carried into the late night and partygoers gathered around the DJ booth and danced until 2am.
The night also marked the unveiling of Harper’s BAZAAR’s weekend-long, specially curated store, ShopBAZAAR. For guests looking to get creative, “Artist-in-Residence,” Meredith Wing, was on-site designing one-of-a-kind portraits using materials found on the grounds. Over the weekend, GREY GOOSE will continue to bring the understated but elegant style of the French Riviera. Desert House attendees who truly ‘Fly Beyond’ in their fields will enjoy an elevated drinking experience complete with GREY GOOSE Vodka bespoke cocktails. Spotify, the official digital music partner of the 2015 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, have experts on-site to give tutorials on how to get the most out of Spotify, as well as offer complimentary Spotify Premium subscriptions.
Soho House was founded in London, in 1995, as a private members’ club for those in the film, media and creative industries. The group has gradually expanded to include 13 Houses globally, as well as 26 restaurants, cinemas, spas and hotels. Each House is slightly different depending on its location, but the ethos of the Houses has remained the same; to create a comfortable home for a community of like-minded, creative people, wherever they are.
