LABOR DAY PARTY PREPPIN 2015

Labor Day is the workingman’s holiday. It’s dedicated to regular people in appreciation for the hard work they do in or outside the home throughout the year. Whether you’re self-employed, a stay at home parent, or work for a Fortune 500 company, Labor Day is for you. Aside from that many people consider Labor Day the last weekend of summer, before its time to close the pool and go back to school. To help you relax and enjoy your Labor Day festivities we’ve created a no hassle menu, that won’t have you working in the kitchen when you should be relaxing with friends and family.

Grilled Lamb Kebabs with Tomatoes, Zucchini, and Yogurt Sauce (Appetizer) – Nothing says summer like meat on a stick and these lamb kebabs are going to be a crowd pleaser at your end of summer get together. The yogurt sauce and kebab assembly can be done the night before so all you have to do during the party is throw them on the grill for 10 minutes and you’ll be good to go.

 

 

Ken Faulk’s Delilah & Hubbell (Cocktail) – Design guru Ken Faulk gives us this refreshing new take on the classic margarita. Named after 2 of his golden retrievers Delilah & Hubbell, Faulk’s margarita recipe gets a fresh and fizzy twist thanks to the addition of the mint and club soda.

 

 

7 Layer Pasta Salad (Salad) – This salad is healthy enough for her while still being hearty enough for him, and guaranteed to satisfy everyone at your party. Make the salad the night before and leave it in the fridge until its time to serve.
